Miso Maple Glazed Tempeh

This is an easy and delicious way to add tempeh to any meal!

3 tablespoons Turmeric Miso Maple Sauce (recipe below)

½ cup water

1 teaspoon Braggs aminos

1 package tempeh, cut into ½ - ¾ inch cubes

Sesame seeds (garnish)

  1. In a skillet, heat the water, Braggs and the miso sauce.
  2. Add the tempeh pieces and bring to a boil.
  3. Cover and reduce to simmer. Cook/steam for 10 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
  4. Increase the heat, add additional splashes of water and stir to braise/glaze all or many sides of the tempeh.

Turmeric Miso Maple Glaze

This is a simple glaze/dressing/sauce for basically anything from salads to roasted veggies to veggie/tofu stir fries to buddha bowls.

2 tablespoons light miso

2 tablespoon maple syrup

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

½ teaspoon turmeric

Black pepper to taste

Whisk together the ingredients and use immediately or store in the fridge for future use.
